Legal Practice Management - Community Legal Sector October '24

This Legal Practice Management Course will be conducted entirely online.

If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Engagement team on Tel 02 9965 7111 or email cpd@collaw.edu.au.

This course is a sector-specific version of the Practice Management Course, designed for those who are or wish to act in the role of supervising legal practitioner of a community legal centre or similar NFP organisation. Many of the presenters in the course either come from or work closely with this sector.

In addition to covering basic practice management core subjects, this course provides insight on the unique challenges faced by community legal sector practitioners, such as managing difficult clients and trauma-informed practice.

As well as entitling solicitors who complete the course to have Condition 3 removed from their practising certificate, the course provides CPD units including professional skills, practice management and ethics.

Additionally, many solicitors in the private, in-house and community sectors choose to do the course for career and personal development reasons, as a useful short management fundamentals program.
