Course Overview

Do you know the ins and outs of purchasing properties off the plan as opposed to purchasing existing properties in New South Wales?

Buying off the plan can be trickier than a regular purchase. It means committing to purchasing a property that doesn’t yet exist.

An off-the-plan contract is not only a contract to buy real estate but also a building contract where the vendor additionally agrees to construct and deliver the property with the agreed improvements constructed on it.

With sales of off-the-plan properties in New South Wales significantly increasing over recent years (especially in the case of strata lots), it’s critical that you’re well-versed in the additional considerations associated with this type of property sale.

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify common off-the-plan sales concepts
  • Draft checklists for advising a client on an off-the-plan sale contract
  • Prepare to advise a client on an off-the-plan sale transaction

You’ll gain the skills needed to act on behalf of clients – whether they’re the vendor or the purchaser of the property.
